Fight Burnout

Uncover Your Path to Leadership

Burnout is a prevalent word in the healthcare world. Many healthcare professionals are quick to use it to describe themselves or their team. But what if that diagnosis is wrong? Instead of burned out what if it’s compassion fatigue? Or what if you’re just restless? When I moved from clinical work to my first leadership role, I was simply ready for a new set of challenges. Could it be that you’re ready to master something new?

Leaders identify problems and solve them, but then why do so many leaders lose sleep at night? Ideally challenges are supposed to be fun and allow you to see yourself in a new light.

As leaders, we struggle when we need immediate answers but don’t have them. Sheldon can show you how those situations can be used as opportunities to grow and distinguish yourself. The stimulus can rarely be changed, but leaders who have honed their skills with Dr. Stadnyk respond better than leaders working through trial and error.

“Through my work with Sheldon, we identified that it is important to maintain a healthy work/life balance (what most refer to as burnout). As a hard working professional, it is often easy to overlook that balance. Sheldon was an excellent resource in helping to identify a course that is skewed in one direction, throwing that balance off.”

Sheldon’s Healthcare Executive Coaching

Starts with YOU

Individual leadership coaching for professionals begins with you. Because none of us can control or alter the many things that come at us (the stimuli), our response to any stimulus becomes critical. Most people respond in a way that makes them followers. With leadership coaching, you can master your responses in a way that transforms you into a leader.

Sheldon has learned that the best response lives within you. Like every other human, you have emotional blind spots, because that’s how we humans are wired. Dr. Stadnyk’s success comes from uncovering solutions that have been inside of you all along.

When we first begin, Sheldon conducts a brief assessment to allow him to better understand your goals and what likely holds you back. He will likely provoke some thoughts that will be new to you during this process. Should you and Dr. Stadnyk wish to proceed with coaching, he follows with a complimentary introductory session to further ensure alignment of goals. He also wants you to feel that the chemistry between you is a fit.

“At a point when I was confused and frustrated with my current organization, to the point of considering leaving, Sheldon helped me better understand and pursue aspects under my control and differentiate those from aspects out of my control (and accept those with more of an attitude of positive intent).”

What are Sessions Like?

Contact Sheldon today about your needs.

Individual coaching sessions typically last an hour. Our goal is to unlock answers to the challenges facing you. Sessions typically occur weekly to semi-weekly but are customized to your needs and your schedule. The length of a coaching engagement is decided by you. Most engagements last at least six sessions.

Dr. Stadnyk specializes in working with practicing professionals seeking to step partly or fully out of a clinical role into their first formal leadership role. He has also worked with seasoned professionals looking to ascend to that pinnacle position, perhaps the last one in a storied career.

“Dr. Stadnyk taught me how to foster a deep understanding of my communication style and the preferred communication styles of my colleagues, resulting in improved understanding, greater empathy, and ultimately a higher performing team.”

Experience Counts

Regardless of your situation, the principles of coaching remain effective. Dr. Stadnyk recognizes that there are many trained, certified coaches that can help you. Imagine, however, discovering that coach who has been in the actual position you are seeking to master.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” This quote by Viktor Frankl describes much of the theory upon which Sheldon bases his coaching. It works for him and his other clients. Does any of it resonate with you?
